History
Thomas Tire and Battery Service was founded in 1938 by Walter G. Thomas Sr.
Walter G. Thomas Jr. joined the family business in 1955. In 1960
Walter G. Thomas Jr. converted the business to Thomas Auto Body
specializing in high quality repairs and paint.
The business was operated at 181 Grafton Street until 2003 at which
time it moved to a much larger and modern facility at 225 Grafton
Street , Worcester . Thomas Auto Body now operates out of a state of
the art facility fully equipped for high quality repairs with highly
skilled technicians.
Thomas Auto Body has an unprecedented reputation of honesty and
quality service. Thomas Auto Body is highly accredited by the Better
Business Bureau and won the 2001 Telegram and Gazette's first annual
People's Pick Award for best auto body shop in Worcester County .
